Design Concept:

The Quail is definitely the most humble and understated piece of the “Flowers of the Earth” collection.  The piece depicts a meek bird hidden away in the marsh while others celebrate the dawn of spring.  Yet, its color tones—cleverly diffused through the piece like classic Chinese ink-wash—suggest a quiet confidence.  The persona the piece exudes bespeaks a subtle and inconspicuous allure.  And it is as much part of the spring dance as the rest of them.
