Perched on the top of a tree, the playful monkey in this artwork looks back as if telling its comrades to catch up—hence the name “One Step Ahead.” Neatly polished to an almost-abstracted form, this monkey is aesthetically the most different from the others in 2016’s Year of the Monkey collection.
